Server Status

To analyze the live status of our servers please look at our Server Status Monitor, all customers will be emailed before hand if there is any scheduled downtime

Steps to setup your web site

1. Adding a domain to host with us: Login to your H-Sphere Control Panel and select Domains. Select "Add New Domain". On next page select "Transfer an existing domain". Enter the domain you want to host with us. Selecting this option does not transfer your domain to us. It just sets up the web site on our servers so that it can be hosted by us when you point its name servers to us

2. Fine tuning your web site: From the H-Sphere home page, select Web Options. On the next page, select the domain for which you want to activate various web options like SSL, Directory Indexes, AW Stats etc. Activate various options as per your need. Most important of these options is Directory Indexes. After turning it on your can enter your website's default page.

3. Mailboxes and Send/Receive E-mail: From CP home page, select E-mail to create mail boxes, assigning mailbox size, activating spam and anti-virus features etc. You can send/receive your e-mail from a mail program like Outlook Express or Mozilla Thunderbird using the following details; 1. POP/SMTP Server: mail.yourdomain.com 2. Username: mailID@yourdomain.com 3. Password: Password that you entered while creating your mailbox.

4. WebMail: We provide three webmail clients for you to send/receive/manage your e-mail. These are SQWebMail, Squirrelmail and Horde. You can use anyone by visiting http://mail.yourdomain.com

5. Uploading website's Files: You can upload your website's files using File Manager in your CP or by using any FTP client like SmartFTP, CuteFTP etc. Always upload your files in the domain folder. MS Access database should be kept in root directory. This will prevent anyone to download these files via HTTP

6. Testing your website's: You can view your website's before it is actually resolving to our servers via the Instant domain name alias feature. Click on Web Options and then your domain name. You'll see this feature towards the end of the page

7. Changing Domain Name Servers (DNS): In order for your website's to work from JodoHost servers, it is necessary to change the DNS settings of the domain to point to our name servers. This must be done at your domain registrar. You can find the current domain registrar of your domain by visiting http://domain.jodohost.com/whois. In order to change DNS settings, you need to login to your Domain Registrar's Control Panel and look for the section on changing Name Servers. You are not required to change DNS if you have registered your domain at JodoHost from http://domain.jodohost.com

8. Creating your own domain name servers: You can create your domain name servers to host your sites with Fast Micro. It is required only when you do not want to reveal that you host your website's with Fast Micro. In such cases, you could create your own domain name servers pointing to our name server IPs. We recommend www.123-reg.co.uk for your domains. Please read the next step for instructions on how to activate private nameservers with www.123-reg.co.uk.

8. To setup private name servers with 123-reg: please visit their site, and login. Then scroll down to "modify domains" and then select the domain you wish to setup and press "modify domain". You should then be taken to the Domain Control Panel. Then select "Change Nameservers". On the next 2 pages enter the following details:

ns4.yourdomain.co.uk or 204.10.105.200
ns3.yourdomain.co.uk or 204.14.104.150
